More Details About Our 20 Rounds of Polymer Coated 123gr FMJ 7.62x39mm Ammo by Brown Bear

The world's most popular rifle isn't much good without ammo! Be sure to keep your AK-47 fed well with these 7.62x39 rounds!

Up for sale here is one box of 20 rounds of 7.62x39mm ammo by Brown Bear Ammunition, a subsidiary of the Barnual Machine Tool Plant, one of the largest industrial goods and ammunition manufacturers located in Russia. These 7.62x39mm rounds are excellent target practicing rounds for your AK-47 or other 7.62x39mm caliber rifle.

Specifically, these 7.62x39mm rounds are steel cased, berdan primed, and feature 123 grain full metal jacket (FMJ) ammunition.  Many American shooters purposefully avoid steel cased ammunition, believing them to be unreliable in comparison to brass cased rounds.  In reality, steel cased ammo is nearly as reliable, and also much more affordable, making them much more cost efficient ammo for going through a lot of rounds at the range. The berdan primers are also the standard primers for rounds in Europe and are non-corrosive.  In addition, the 123 grain bullet means that these are lighter 7.62x39mm rounds and have less recoil, at a muzzle velocity of 2,430 feet per second and a muzzle energy of 1,653 feet per pound.

Full metal jacket rounds are favored by many American shooters since most full metal jacket bullets tend to have higher muzzle velocities then other rounds, such as hollow points and soft point rounds.  This is because the bullets of full metal jacket rounds are made of lead and encased in a shell of harder metal, a.k.a the jacket.  It is this jacket that allows for greater muzzle velocities.

As stated above, Brown Bear Ammunition is a subsidiary of the Barnual Machine Tool Plant in Russia, so while you might not think Communist quality is what you want --- just remember, the AK-47 was designed in Russia so if anybody is going to know reliable feeding and extraction, it's the ammo-engineers behind the Iron Curtain! Brown Bear Ammunition is one of the largest suppliers of ammo for Russian-military weapons, but in recent years have greatly expanded their small arms market and now compete with other ammo manufacturers on a worldwide scale.
