Fiocchi Ammunition was founded in July of 1876 by Guilio Fiocchi, and with his guidance the company quickly became not just a success but a leader in the ammunition industry. By 1930 they were exporting their products, and after the plant was bombed during World War II, they simply rebuilt it. Fiocchi has a long history of quality and dedication – dedication not only to their products and people, but also to the business itself. By rebuilding in 1946, they proved they cannot be stopped, and as they’ve collected multiple certifications and continued to produce ammunition to high standards, they’ve also proven their solid reputation is well-deserved.

These are middle-weight cartridges at 165 grain, which is nice for training purposes. As FMJTC rounds they’re meant for target practice and tactical training: because they’re FMJ’s they don’t expand but simply penetrate and travel, and as TC, Truncated Cone, rounds, they leave nice, clean holes in paper targets, making scoring easier and more accurate. If you’re a competitive shooter, training and competing with TC’s is great for scoring, and it means the round may slow after impact rather than traveling like an average FMJ.

Although Fiocchi’s headquarters are in Lecco, Italy, they do manufacture ammunition at their American plant in Ozark, Missouri. There are fifty rounds in this box of ammunition, so you can tuck a box or two into your range bag and go train or stack a few in your safe to practice later. These rounds have a muzzle velocity of 1,020 feet per second and a muzzle energy of 443 foot-pounds. And because they’re produced in virgin brass, boxer-primed cases, they can be reloaded.
