1000 Rounds of 140gr FMJ 9mm Ammo by Sellier & Bellot

Would you like to enjoy a little target practice without making a whole lot of racket? Or are you keen on pouring a few bullets through your suppressor, and want ammo that’s going to complement its performance? Then get onboard the Sellier & Bellot subsonic 9mm train!

This ammunition isn’t loaded to a lower-than-standard chamber pressure, so it’s still going to cycle your semi-automatic. It’s also poised to emit a softer report even if you’re not using a suppressor. Its heavier 140 grain projectile is backed by the propellant it needs to exit a 6” barrel at a rate of 1,001 feet per second. The speed of sound is 1,125 feet per second (give or take, depending on external factors like air temperature), so the bullet simply cannot produce a piercing “crack” upon exiting the muzzle.

Sellier & Bellot is headquartered in the Czech Republic. They do not follow the Russian practice of creating full metal jacket projectiles that have bi-metal jackets which contain steel. This ammo’s FMJs contain only copper-zinc alloy and lead, and accordingly can’t draw a magnet. Sellier & Bellot’s new noncorrosive Boxer-primed brass cases are also reloadable, which makes this case of 1,000 rounds (20 boxes total) quite a good investment for a handloader!
