Browning puts their PRO22 label on some mighty fine precision 22 LR cartridges! As a 40 grain lead round nose, this round’s bullet is simple enough: no nose cavity to make it less aerodynamic, and no copper plating that could contain minor concentricity flaws.

What really makes this ammo accurate is its subsonic muzzle velocity. A bullet which completely avoids becoming transonic cannot develop a wobble that compromises consistent trajectory. As a nice bonus, a subsonic cartridge like this also issues a softer report. Great if you’re teaching a youngster the ropes!

This ammo’s bullets are crimped into their case mouths. That prevents recoil from shortening the bullets’ seating depths, which in turn promotes more consistent alignment with the rifling.
