This shell catapults a 3/4 ounce barrage of #7.5 lead shot at its target. The round’s 1,300 fps muzzle velocity gives its shot plenty of pep with which to chase down and demolish a distant clay, yet its collapsible AA wad does a good job of taking the edge off felt recoil. The AA wad is further engineered to narrowly pattern the 263 or so individual shot pellets, which are each made of hard and deformation resistant lead. Spherical shot forms the consistently tight pattern which puts more pellets on target – precisely the downrange performance which makes trap and sporting clays so satisfying.
