This 12 Gauge hunting shell’s wad has one mission: to put as many of its nine 00 buckshot pellets on target as possible. It achieves that end by sticking out fins around its base. These act as air brakes, and enable the wad to remain with the shot column several yards after clearance through the muzzle, and ultimately separate cleanly from it.

This shell’s shot is worthy of partnering up with so technologically advanced a wad. It is plated in copper, which makes it hard enough to accelerate without flattening and becoming less aerodynamic as a result.
