Magtech of Brazil loads their target shooting and plinking 22 LR cartridge with the old standard: the 40 grain lead round nose. The LRN bullet hasn’t got copper plating to reduce the rate of lead fouling, and it also hasn’t got a hollow point nose cavity that could have delivered terminal expansion. The pure lead bullet simply features a smooth-feeding and ballistically efficient profile, as well as a concentric body that evenly engages with the bore’s lands.

This round’s bullet is just light enough to achieve supersonic muzzle velocity out of a rifle’s 24” barrel.
