- Q & A
In 1876 an accountant by the name of Giulio Fiocchi decided to enter the ammunition business, founding a company he named Fiocchi Munizioni (Fiocchi Ammunition). The company was started right before major changes took place in the firearms industry, but it managed to do quite well regardless. The first change to take place was the switch from muzzleloaders to breech loaders; that change alone required massive adjustments in the way ammunition was being made. Next came the jump from black powder to smokeless powder. Through it all, Fiocchi flourished. Since day one they’ve designed and produced all their own manufacturing equipment, maintaining a high level of quality and requiring all ammunition undergo extensive testing measures. Today Fiocchi is known for producing quality, reliable ammunition and gun owners all around the world rely on them to keep their guns well-fed.
These particular Fiocchi rounds are made for your 12-gauge shotgun. Each shotshell measures 2 ¾” in length and is filled with #7.5 buckshot. These rounds contain a 1 ounce load which provides the power necessary to propel the pellets within the shotshells towards targets with destructive force. Using a 1 ounce load rather than a larger one also helps keep felt recoil manageable, making it easier to make accurate shots. Many shotgunners use 1 ounce loads like these for training purposes for that very reason. Each of these rounds leaves the barrel of your shotgun at a muzzle velocity of 1200 feet per second. This ammunition is made for target practice and shooting clays.
When you order this box of ammunition from Fiocchi you get 10 boxes of 25 rounds each for a grand total of 250 shotshells. With 250 rounds you can get some serious trigger time with your 12-gauge shotgun, both working on accuracy and just enjoying yourself. Every time you slap the trigger on your shotgun your marksmanship is affected, for better or for worse, so be sure you take the time to make each and every shot count. Fiocchi’s headquarters are located in Lecco, Italy, and they also have a factory in Ozark, Missouri, for United States distribution. Order now and dedicate time to ventilating targets and shattering clays with your favorite shotgun.
