- Q & A
In 1816, Eliphalet Remington used his father’s forge to build the flintlock rifle he’d designed as an improvement over what was currently available. After it was done, he wanted to test its performance, so he entered a competition. Much to his frustration, he won second place instead of first, but it was still a fantastic win, especially for a rifle he’d made on his own. Spectators were duly impressed and by the time the day was over, orders were pouring in at such a rate that Eliphalet had two choices: stop with the one rifle or fill the orders and go into business as a gunsmith. Much to the relief of shooters for many generations, he founded Remington, and for 200 years they’ve been manufacturing excellent firearms and ammunition.
These Remington 12 gauge shells are 3” in length and loaded with fifteen 00 buck pellets. In order to deliver a tight, even pattern, heavy cushioning is packed behind the shot column and a granulated polymer buffer preserves pellet roundness. Each shell has a muzzle velocity of 1225 feet per second. These 00 buck shells are ideal for hunting game such as deer at ranges of under 50 yards and are often used for home defense as well. And, of course, you can use them for a casual day of outdoor shooting when you want to put some holes in a few watermelons or pumpkins. There are 5 shells in this box, making it the ideal size for carrying in your pocket or storing in your range bag.
After you’ve been sitting all morning waiting for the perfect deer, don’t lose your one chance to take it down because of subpar ammunition. Remington puts their 200 years of experience and skill into the manufacture of each of these shells, and when you fire them, you can tell the difference. All of Remington’s products are made in America at their plant in Lonoke, Arkansas. Avid shooters who have used these shells praise their accuracy and dependable feeding and ejecting, saying they’ve put hundreds and even thousands of shells through with a single failure. Get your box of 5 shells and find out why Remington is a legend in the industry.
