- Q & A
In 1816 Eliphalet Remington built his own musket using a design of his own creation and his father’s forge. When the gun was complete he entered a competition with it and won second place, and while he undoubtedly would have preferred to win first place his gun won the admiration of onlookers. Those who witnessed his second-place win immediately began clamoring for their own guns and when Eliphalet chose to fill the orders he founded the Remington Arms Company. 200 years later Remington is the oldest constantly-operating firearms and ammunition manufacturer in the United States, and their reputation is solid.
These particular Remington rounds are meant for your .22LR. At 36 grain these rounds are both quite lightweight and within the standard weight range for the cartridge size. Being lighter means these rounds zip down-range at higher speeds and also means felt recoil is kept to a minimum. These are Truncated Cone Solid Bullet (TC-SB) rounds. They don’t expand on impact but simply penetrate and keep going, so make sure you have a good backstop in place during target practice. Each round has a muzzle velocity of 1410 feet per second and a muzzle energy of 159 foot-pounds. These rounds are good for target practice and hunting pests such as squirrels.
There are 100 rounds in this single box of ammunition from Remington. With 100 rounds you can give your rifle a nice meal and spend some time honing your marksmanship skills or just plinking, punching holes in stationary targets. .22LR is a versatile round and can be used for everything from instructing new shooters to pest control to plinking. Thanks to its lack of recoil and almost nonexistent report the .22LR is easy for new shooters to handle and fun for seasoned shooters; whichever category you fall into, you’re going to need ammo, and lots of it. Remington manufactures their ammunition at their factory in Lonoke, Arkansas, according to exacting specifications. If you want quality rounds made by a well-known American manufacturer, you want Remington. Order now.
