More Details About Our 250 Rounds of #4 Buck 12ga Ammo by Sellier & Bellot
Looking for good 12 Gauge ammunition for hunting deer and coyote – but which would also prove itself to be of great utility for home defense? Stock up on a whole case of Sellier & Bellot’s 12ga ammo, which is loaded with hard-to-find #4 buckshot!
This shell is not loaded with #4 shot, which is 0.13” in diameter. It is loaded with #4 buckshot, which is 0.24” in diameter. At 1-1/4 ounces, its shot column contains 27 individual lead shot pellets. That’s why this round is going to put about three times more wound channels into its target than a comparable 2-3/4” 00 buck round. And because #4 buck pellets are lighter than 00 buck (20.7 grains as opposed to 53.8 grains), they retain relatively less momentum. That means they are less likely to over-penetrate their target, which can help to reduce the risk of jeopardizing innocent bystanders’ safety during a home invasion.
Sellier & Bellot makes this shotgun ammunition in the Czech Republic with traditional felt wads, 0.49” brass heads, and easy to identify transparent plastic hulls. This ammo’s noncorrosive primers and clean-burning powder propel its shot column to a muzzle velocity of 1,181 feet per second (3 dram equivalent), so you’ll have a normal amount of recoil to put up with after every pull of the trigger.
