Winchester Super-X 12 Gauge 00 buckshot ammunition is useful for target practice, deer hunting and home defense. We have personally seen how effectively this shotshell drops a boar – the creature barely had a moment to squeal in protest over what we had done to it.

This shell doesn’t take a high-tech approach to overwhelming its target. Nine individual pellets of 00 buck propelled to a muzzle velocity 1,325 feet per second will do exactly one thing to their target: destroy it. Winchester does buffer this shell’s shot column to promote a tighter pattern, however. The shot column includes buffering – little granules of supple material – which sponges up recoil energy to help conserve pellet sphericity. That promotes the tight pattern which sinks more pellets into the target.

This shell’s ~1-1/10 ounce shot column places its dram equivalent at 3-1/2. Its hull is star crimped, which makes it just as easy to reload as your everyday target load. You get ten 15-round boxes when you wisely invest in the complete case.
