- Q & A
9mm Luger shooters can’t go wrong with these range rounds from Wolf.
Wolf ammunition is the solution for the problem high-volume shooters face: cost. 9mm is an immensely popular round and has been perhaps the most popular semi-auto self-defense caliber for years. But even though it tends to be more affordable than larger calibers, it’s still expensive to put in significant training time, and that’s where Wolf comes in. Wolf is manufactured by Tula, the largest and oldest ammunition manufacturer in Russia. For 300 years, Tula has been producing quality, affordable ammunition for law enforcement and military, and now you can use it, too.
This is Wolf’s mil-spec ammunition, their Military Classic. It does have a steel case, but the core is not steel, contrary to some people’s belief. This round has a normal lead bullet and the case is a copper and steel alloy, which saves you money since the case is typically the most expensive component. And if you’re concerned about excessive friction in your gun’s barrel due to the steel case, don’t be; Wolf uses a special polymer coating to make this a non-corrosive round. That polymer coating also helps this ammunition cycle and eject reliably. Shooters with experience using Wolf in their 9mm’s say it’s a dependable round and doesn’t leave your gun any dirtier than other similar ammunition.
At 115 grain this is a lightweight round, which means it’s also a bit faster than some 9mm rounds. It has a muzzle velocity of 1,150 feet per second and muzzle energy is 338 foot-pounds. This particular box is not for casual shooters, though, because there are 1,000 rounds in it. That’s right, 1,000 chances to get that much closer to your marksmanship goals and to spend that many more hours training for your specific purposes. Reach your goals as a shooter; order now.
(This ammunition is steel-cased. Some ranges do not allow rounds with steel cases, so make sure you double check before trying to use this ammunition at your area range.)
