More Details About This Blazer Brass 115gr FMJ 9mm Ammo
A “blazer” is a kind of jacket that’s less fancy than a suit, but more fancy than a muscle shirt. It’s good to have for “formal-informal” occasions, such as parent-teacher conferences and meeting your girlfriend’s parents.
Blazer Brass, on the other hand, is much better than some stupid garment. It is primo range ammo from Idaho, and its brand new reloadable cases are made of precisely the metal you expect them to be.
This cartridge is loaded with a 115 grain full metal jacket, fittingly enough. The FMJ’s own jacket is plated (i.e. a more economical way of applying copper over lead than cupping and drawing it). Its plated jacket doesn’t impair the FMJ’s overall performance. All it really does is make it incompatible with ports. Ported barrel. Ported compensator. Neither belongs anywhere near plated FMJs.
CCI (which manufactures Blazer ammo) recorded this round’s 1,145 fps muzzle velocity with aid from a 4” test barrel. That’s just a hair higher than supersonic, and indicative of flat trajectory with manageable accompanying recoil.
