WE WANT YOU TO BUY AMMO. Specifically this 223 Rem ammo by Winchester. It it intended for the best kind of shooting: the kind you do all day, because you bought lots of ammo beforehand.
No polymer tip. No bonded jacket. No jacketed base. No hollow point. The full metal jacket bullet is actually quite unique for having so few features. And that’s what makes it our special little bullet for high-volume target shooting: it is generally the cheapest type to manufacture.
Winchester does make proper FMJ bullets, of course, with copper jackets and a uniform weight of 55 grains (with reasonable variance). What the FMJ most certainly doesn’t have is steel. It won’t attract a magnet for that reason.
Brand new reloadable brass cases, right here. The case’s shoulder may appear grayish. That doesn’t mean it was fired before. It just means Winchester didn’t polish the brass after annealing it. Noncorrosive Boxer primers, too!
