- Q & A
If you’re familiar with Wolf, Tula or Barnaul, then you’re already familiar with what Arsenal’s 7.62x39 has to offer. This ammo is magnetic courtesy of its 122 grain bimetal jacketed projectiles. They’re accurate and economical bullets, to be sure, but unfortunately they’re also unwelcome at many indoor ranges.
Despite its key similarities to Russian alternatives, Arsenal’s 7.62x39 is of appreciably higher quality. These cartridges’ components are manufactured according to noticeably tighter tolerances, and their sealed necks and primers both speak to their superior longevity in storage and reliability out in the field.
If you have no intention of handloading this ammo, then there’s virtually no downside to its budget-friendly steel shell casings. And this is new production ammo – not aged milsurp – so its Berdan primers won’t introduce corrosive hygroscopic salts to your action and barrel. Any AK-47 owner ought to have a case or two of ammo like this on hand at all times!
