- Q & A
But your handguard’s stuck at room temperature until you can run a whole case of ammo through your rifle. That’s why we’re looking out for you with this brick of 7.62x39 by MAXXTech!
This is standard range ammo, replete with a non-expanding 124 grain FMJ bullet. The bullet has got a boat tail, a drag-reducing feature that serves to flatten trajectory, increase the amount of energy the bullet has to smack its target with, and protect against crosswinds. This bullet’s bimetal jacket makes it strong yet economical – as well as magnetic.
This authentic AK ammo comes all the way from Russia, and in pure Russian fashion it has steel cases! That makes this ammo more accessibly priced relative to the brass cased alternative, and it still cycles efficiently thanks to its low-friction lacquer coating. Their sealed necks and primers make this ammo safer for long-term storage! Just take care that you can’t reload steel, nor can you count on it to keep your rifle’s action quite as clean as brass could have. This ammo is Berdan primed, but unlike old Soviet milsurp rounds it is non-corrosive.
