More Details About Our 1000 Rounds of 240gr FMJ FN .44 Mag Ammo by Magtech
Looking for sweet, sweet 44 Magnum range ammo? Good! Let us ship 1,000 rounds of Magtech’s Brazilian-made best straight to your door!
This cartridge is topped off with a 240 grain projectile: a full metal jacket flat nose. It contains zero steel, and therefore won’t budge a magnet. It rests safely inside a lever gun, and has a sloping side profile which facilitates chambering in the cylinder. A fairly basic solution for any kind of training you might like to get up to with your favorite 44 Mag cannon.
Magtech measured this round’s 1,617 fps muzzle velocity with an 8.3” barrel. They report its 100-yard velocity at 1,285 fps. We estimate its G1 ballistic coefficient at 0.177. If you’re aiming to 50 yards through 0.25” high sights, then you can expect the trajectory to climax at 0.36” and then sink to -3.95” at 100 yards. That’s all assuming that your own revolver’s barrel is 8.3” as well, which is admittedly long.
Magtech hasn’t loaded a corrosive primer for well over half a century, and this ammo was only just manufactured recently. Its brass cases have never before seen the light of day, and they are poised to serve you well if you count handloading as one of your hobbies.
