1000 Rounds of 55gr FMJ .223 Ammo by Winchester USA

It doesn’t matter if you’re still thousands of hours away from becoming a decent shooter or already a master marksman. You still need good, American-made 223 Rem ammo to make the most of your range days. And Winchester’s USA label ammo is exactly that!

This cartridge is loaded with the 223 Rem’s standard issue 55 grain full metal jacket. The nonmagnetic and non-expanding projectile wears a hard copper alloy jacket to prevent deformation that could complicate feeding or loosen accuracy. The cannelure girdling the jacket keeps the bullet firmly planted in the case mouth to prevent setback under recoil. We recommend FMJ ammo for target shooting, but this case of ammo would prove very useful during an emergency when you become the only force available to defend your homestead.

USA loads are as good for range training as they are handloading. Yank out these rounds’ spent non-corrosive Boxer primers and put their brass cases to good use! Note that this ammo’s new cases were not polished after receiving heat treatment at the factory, so they’re a little darker than normal around their necks and shoulders.
