Does everything just kind of come naturally to you? Then you still need Federal Premium’s Champion series ammunition. Not because you need to work on your marksmanship, which was perfect the day you were born, but because everyone has fun target shooting – no matter how talented at it they might be.
This cartridge is loaded with a 95 grain full metal jacket. Its 980 fps muzzle velocity (3-3/4” barrel) gives it recoil and ballistic performance that’s pretty much apples-to-slightly-but-not-very-different-apples the same as a full-fledged defense load.
Federal’s never-ending mission to offer more affordable ammo impelled them to load this with plated FMJs. Such bullets’ jackets aren’t as tough as usual, which is why you mustn’t fire them through a ported compensator, or a ported barrel. A port can remove and deflect a piece of plated jacket back at you, which you won’t enjoy.
Made in Minnesota, and reloadable! If you’re already a master of handloading (or just starting out), give these rounds’ brass a whirl!
