- Q & A
This dual-purpose 300 Blackout cartridge features Nosler’s 110 grain Varmageddon projectile. The bullet avoids deformation until it exits the barrel at over double the speed of sound courtesy of its flat, jacketed base and thickened shank. Its sharp black polymer tip keeps the Varmageddon’s trajectory flat until it sinks its way into a varmint, predator, or threat to your safety, at which point it bursts through the bullet’s thin jacket mouth to unleash catastrophic terminal expansion.
This round is a natural choice for hunting at dusk or nighttime protection, as Underwood’s propellant is optimized to reduce the degree of muzzle flash that blinds you the first time you pull the trigger – perfect if you’ll need to fire several shots. Underwood’s nickel plated case is shiny and easy to see, but also sleek to promote smoother cycling as well as naturally corrosion resistant. And because the nickel plating is created according to the Ducta Bright 7a process, it also resists cracking under intense heat!
