- Q & A
This 300 Blackout round’s 110 grain bullet is none other than Barnes’ own TAC-TX FB. The monolithic copper bullet minimizes barrel fouling, permits hunting in states where lead bullets are banned, and even promotes deeper penetration. Metal as strong as copper withstands high velocity impact to deliver a wound channel up to 20” deep in soft tissue!
The TAC-TX FB’s sleek profile supports smooth feeding in AR-style rifles, and alongside its sharp polymer tip enhances the bullet’s ballistic coefficient. The bullet’s tip slams into its nose cavity beginning at the instant of impact, after which it commences the extension of four long, sharp cutting petals. Each petal tracks a discrete wound channel, which combined with the TAC-TX FB’s 100 percent weight retention adds up to terminal performance guaranteed to kill/neutralize.
Barnes’ low residue propellant and non-corrosive primer grants their all-copper bullet even cleaner performance. The American manufacturer’s new production brass cases are also great handloading components.
