The ELD Match owes its heightened ballistic coefficient in great part to its Heat Shield tip, which is immune to the effects of aerodynamic heating so that it may always maintain its perfectly pointed and symmetrical meplat. This bullet is also intensely accurate thanks to its streamlined secant ogive profile, its AMP jacket which is drawn to a virtually perfect concentricity, and the tapered base of its boat tail design. Hornady has optimized the ELD Match’s ballistic coefficient to such an extent that they had to implement a Doppler radar just to measure it.

This cartridge’s propellant is formulated to consistently deliver a fast muzzle velocity of 2,910 fps.
