This cartridge’s 142 grain HPBT is loaded to a muzzle velocity of 2,625 fps (23.5” test barrel). Its sleek jacket and precision engineered boat tail both help the bullet conserve its momentum while simultaneously resisting wind drift, and its lead core possesses no voids that could have impacted rotational stability. The result is a 0.278 G7 BC bullet that covers 500 yards in 0.67 seconds flat.
Don’t mistake the HPBT for an expanding hunting bullet. It’s not going to treat any living thing to a good time, but its nose cavity is not designed to yield and produce terminal expansion.
This round’s bullet has a CuZn 10 jacket that can’t attract a magnet, a new brass case that chambers and extracts with the utmost reliability, and the Boxer primer any handloader will be happy to see.
