Some 7.62x51 ammunition is loaded with bullets that contain steel. This 7.62x51 ammunition? Its copper-jacketed lead-core full metal jacket projectile doesn’t have that limitation, so you can let ‘er loose at ranges which get all huffy about “magnetic bullets” (i.e. ones that can attract a magnet).
