Yes sir, this cartridge means bizniss. Its Superformance propellant directly translates to a flatter trajectory (Hornady reports 1.7” elevation at 100 yards given 2,900 fps MV, 1.5” sight height, and 200-yard zero; 0.418 G1 BC). It also hits mighty hard (Hornady reports 2,029 ft lbs at 200 yards)!
And the Copper alloy eXpanding bullet is just the icing on the cake. The monolithic lead-free bullet encounters very little drag once its Heat Shield polymer tip, optimum groove geometry, and boat tail have all kicked into gear. The CX also combines fast expansion with exceptionally deep penetration. By Hornady’s estimate, the 150 grain CX can be trusted to shed no more than 8 grains of its weight before its job is done!
