Talk about a one-two combo! Doubletap arms their Equalizer series 357 Magnum cartridge with two separate projectiles, which produce two very different effects on soft tissue – neither one pleasant for owner of said soft tissue.

It starts with a 125 grain jacketed hollow point. It achieves effective penetration while simultaneously undergoing rapid expansion, thus producing a deep, wide, and thoroughly injurious wound cavity. The Equalizer round’s 70 grain solid bullet rides right on the JHP’s coattails. It is shaped similarly to an Altoid breath mint, with a lead frontal surface, copper rear surface, and a broad, flat face. The solid bullet cannot expand, which equips it for significantly deeper penetration than the JHP can achieve. Its sharp edge does wreak havoc on any soft tissue it comes into contact with.
