More Details About Our 20 Rounds of 208gr FMJ .300 AAC Blackout Ammo by Hornady
It was the legendary band Quiet Riot that dropped these spellbinding lyrics on the world in 1983*:
Come on, feel the noise
Girls, rock your boys
We'll get wild, wild, wild
Wild, wild, wild
But you know what? Those aren’t always great words to live by. Sometimes you’re not trying to feel the noise – such as when you are firing a 300 AAC Blackout rifle, during target practice.
Here’s the perfect ammo if you’re not feeling particularly wild on the noise front of things: Hornady Frontier, which is loaded with 208 grain full metal jacket bullets. By Hornady’s own measure, that ponderous bullet clears a 24” barrel at only 1,025 fps muzzle velocity (for context, sonic speed is 1,125 fps, give or take depending on altitude and other atmospheric conditions). Short story: This ammo has a truly quiet report, and even more so if you’re running it through a suppressor.
No funny business here. Just the brand new brass cases, noncorrosive Boxer primers, and steel-free (nonmagnetic) bullets you need to get the job done right. Try shooting varmints with this ammo, if you feel so inclined. They will not like it!
*We are aware that the band Slade originally wrote and performed the song, but they are British.
