More Details About This Wolf 62gr Penetrator 5.56x45 Ammo
Right off the bat, if you have any reservations about ordering Wolf’s ammunition because it’s steel cased, put them right out of your mind. This is Wolf Gold 5.56x45 ammunition, with new production brass cases that both prevent rapid carbon fouling of the action and offer the opportunity to handload after the fact!
This is Wolf’s stab at an M855 round. As such it’s still magnetic even with its brass case, because its 62 grain FMJ projectile has a seven grain steel penetrator tip. Painted green for easy identification, this bullet is designed to pierce a 0.12” steel plate up to about 650 yards. Its greater mass also grants this bullet a higher ballistic coefficient, giving it an advantage when crosswinds are in play.
Whether you’d use this AR-15 ammo for target practice right away or hang onto it for a “special occasion,” you can count on its non-corrosive primers and clean burning propellant to keep your pea shooter in better operating condition in between cleanings.

on 3/5/2021Just got my order and ran a few boxes through both my S&W M&P15 and my Cobalt Kinetics. Have to say these were just as good as the Federal, Winchester, Fiocchi or others I have shot. Only reason for not getting 5 stars is the price being a bit high. I will say that Ammoforsale pricing does beat all of their competition.
