More Details About Our 20 Rounds of 97gr Rapid Expansion Matrix Tip .243 Win Ammo by Browning
Have you selected a 243 Win rifle for your next deer hunt? Then you’re clearly already in the business of making good choices. Make just one more by ordering Browning’s BXR series deer hunting ammunition, and you’ll be all set to roll!
Browning’s 97 grain Rapid Expansion Matrix Tip is a high-tech projectile. Once it has achieved a muzzle velocity of 3,100 fps, the bullet’s symmetrical spike of a polymer tip and sleek, low-drag profile grant it a 0.371 G1 ballistic coefficient. Such a bullet will fly flat and resist wind drift, as well as retain at least 1,500 ft lbs of energy until 181 yards and at least 1,000 ft lbs of energy until 394 yards.
The Rapid Expansion Matrix Tip’s unique nose piece is made of a blend of polymer and copper. The tip disintegrates as soon as it plunges into hide, at which instant it reveals the bullet’s hollow point nose cavity. The rapid positive expansion that ensues will knock even the healthiest buck on his keister.
BXR series ammo is loaded in Illinois, right on the same machinery Winchester also uses. This round’s sensitive primer and low-fouling powder are matched to supply consistent recoil and ballistic performance, and its nickel-plated case prevents feeding jams and corrosion alike!
