More Details About This Sellier & Bellot 142gr HPBT 6.5mm Creedmoor Ammo
Still got some friends who think the 6.5 Creedmoor is just a passing craze? Show them the light with the power of this long-range target ammo by Sellier & Bellot!
This cartridge features the ever-popular hollow point boat tail. The 142 grain bullet’s 2,625 fps muzzle velocity was recorded with a pretty long test barrel – 23-1/2”, to be precise. But even if your rifle’s barrel is a little shorter than that, the HPBT will still exhibit a satisfyingly flat trajectory which makes grouping shots at several hundred yards easier. If your barrel does have a 23-1/2” barrel, then you can reasonably expect a trajectory which pinnacles at 13.14” en route to a 400-yard target, as well as supersonic performance far past 1,000 yards.
A lot of people mistake the HPBT’s nose cavity for a feature which delivers terminal expansion. Not so – it’s evidence that the bullet’s lead core was injected into place so it could perfectly conform to the contours of its solid brass jacket. That gives the bullet the gyroscopic stability it needs to keep its nose pointed at its target, which promotes better accuracy alongside its drag-reducing boat tail.
Sellier & Bellot draws and tapers this ammo’s cases according to precise standards, and fills them with the clean-burning propellant and uniform Boxer primers requisite for true precision shooting. Order a bundle of 10 boxes and see what you’re missing – or, to be even more precise, not missing!
