This cartridge features the ever-popular hollow point boat tail. The 142 grain bullet’s 2,625 fps muzzle velocity was recorded with a pretty long test barrel – 23-1/2”, to be precise. But even if your rifle’s barrel is a little shorter than that, the HPBT will still exhibit a satisfyingly flat trajectory which makes grouping shots at several hundred yards easier.
