- Q & A
This unusually quiet cartridge is fittingly loaded with an unusually heavy bullet. The 220 grain behemoth will achieve a muzzle velocity in the vicinity of 1,071 fps, which is about 50 fps lower than the speed of sound. The bullet will not emit a piercing crack upon exiting the muzzle, so you can train in the backyard without rattling the contents of your neighbors’ china hutches.
This ammo’s bullets are total metal cases (aka total metal jackets). The TMJ delivers markedly cleaner performance than an FMJ thanks to its jacket, which extends to fully encompass the base of its lead core. Hot propellant gasses cannot access the TMJ’s core during ignition, and accordingly won’t deposit lead residue in a rifle or scatter aerosolized lead into your breathing space.
Ammo Inc.’s Hyperclean Technology supplies even cleaner performance by reducing residue resulting from uncombusted propellant. These brass-cased and Boxer-primed rounds will give you excellent reloading components!
