- Q & A
This ammo isn’t just great for target practice and shooting last night’s pizza box. It’s also a fine choice for hunting or survival, since the 38 grain copper-plated hollow point bullet is so talented at killing small critters.
This round’s 1,280 fps muzzle velocity out of a rifle’s barrel places it in the high-velocity class of 22 LR cartridges. The CPHP’s level trajectory and inherent ability to reduce the rate of lead fouling both contribute to its great accuracy. At short-to-mid range the bullet should expand significantly in diameter following impact, which spells a bad time for any squirrel, chipmunk, raccoon, porcupine or crow that enters your crosshairs.
Aguila punches out good brass for their cases, and their Non-Corr rimfire primers and powder will help to keep your favorite range toys and varmint slayers cleaner while you’re out there doing your thing. Four boxes per case of 2,000!

The best 22lr ammo, especially for the Ruger LCP 2
on 1/18/2023I have owned a Ruger LCP 2 semi-auto pistol in 22lr for about a year and a half now. It is a great little compact pistol, except that it can be picky as far as the ammunition it prefers. I have found (after shooting 500+ rounds of various brands of 22 through it) that it prefers the Aguila 38 grain ammo the best. After 200+ rounds of this ammo through the pistol, I have yet to experience any kind of malfunction whatsoever. The Aguila 38 grain ammo is all I am using in it now. Two thumbs up Aguila, and keep that ammo coming!
