This cartridge’s bullet isn’t just a big, beefy, wind bucking 180 grains. It is also a Sierra MatchKing: the competition bullet, which wears a super-concentric copper jacket around its rearward-distributed form-fitting lead core. Peak stability! Peak accuracy! Peak precision.
Peek at the MatchKing’s hollow point nose cavity real quick. Know what thing’s not designed to do? Expand. Know what that means? It’s a bad pick for deer hunting, albeit a serviceable one for wiping out varmints.
