This is an FMJ load, which is to say that its bullet will not deliver optimal terminal ballistics for personal protection. The FMJ has a hard copper jacket to mitigate barrel fouling, and it lacks any steel or other magnetic metals. Like its 100 grain weight, the bullet’s 1,250 fps muzzle velocity is the same as Federal’s specialized 30 Super Carry self-defense ammo.
