50 Rounds of 124gr FMJ 9mm NATO Ammo by ZQI

Are you ready to hit the range like it owes you money with interest? Have you accumulated enough empty cans to recycle into a 747 and need to shoot all of them? Are you keen to learn how to handle that new handgun you just purchased so you don’t look like a huge doofus if you ever need it? Only one solution for all three problems: ammo, like this 9mm NATO by ZQI.

This is the kind of basic cartridge that’s optimal for shooting when nothing’s coming to get you. It has a standard 124 grain FMJ bullet that feeds smooth, avoids depositing thick lead residue in the barrel, and flies straight upon exiting. Its reloadable brass case, non-corrosive Boxer primer, and clean burning propellant are all par for the course.

What makes this round different is its NATO designation. NATO specs call for a peppier propellant charge and faster ensuing muzzle velocity. We have not yet tested this ammo out at the official Ammo For Sale shooting range in our boss’s backyard, but ZQI reports the bullet hits 1,214 fps at 17.5 yards. That’s intermediate to an analogous SAAMI spec range round and a 9mm +P “overpressure” load. All this means is a little stiffer recoil followed by a slightly flatter trajectory, which is nice performance to have when you’re trying to boost your accuracy.
