This round’s round nose full metal jacket contains precisely zero ferrous metals; its copper-alloy jacket and lead core cannot attract a magnet. That is a plated jacket, to be sure, which simply means it is too fragile for safe passage through a ported barrel or muzzle device. A muzzle velocity of 890 fps is right in line with normal for 130 grains, and oughtn’t register as notably light or heavy recoil.
Like all Federal products, Champion cartridges are loaded with freshly cut brass. This ammo is reloadable!
