This round is loaded with a TMJ projectile. It functions identically to a normal FMJ but with one exception: The TMJ’s jacket encapsulates its lead core. That prevents this round’s Hyperclean Technology powder from burning off lead and depositing it as residue all over a suppressor’s numerous baffles.

This round’s bullet tips the scales at 165 grains – significantly heavier than usual for the 9mm. It is too heavy to achieve a muzzle velocity much higher than 800 fps out of 4” pistol barrel. It will not produce a supersonic cracking report out of a carbine, either. That’s how this ammo gives a suppressor an easier job to do.
