Don’t get salty at us for calling it 45 Long Colt. Real cowboys call it 45 Colt, but we have to do our best to remind some folks that this ammo will not work in a 45 ACP pistol.

Magtech Cowboy Action Loads hit the sweet spot for – you guessed it – Cowboy Action Shooting. But this cartridge’s simple 250 grain lead flat nose bullet will work just fine for all kinds of recreational shooting. This ammo is suitable for the Taurus Judge or S&W Governor, and its bullet’s flat nose profile makes it safe to load in a lever-action rifle’s magazine.

An LFN bullet does not wear a copper jacket to reduce barrel fouling. Zero copper is an advantage when you’re shooting steel silhouettes, however, since a solid lead bullet has a significantly reduced chance of deflecting shrapnel back toward the shooter.

Magtech loads this ammo to deliver a 760 fps muzzle velocity out of a revolver’s 4” barrel. It’s manufactured in Brazil with new production brass cases and Boxer primers (specifically large pistol primers, in case you’re interested in handloading like so many other cowboys).
