- Q & A
This cartridge’s lickety-split 3,425 fps muzzle velocity isn’t the product of a hot propellant charge. Its bullet just falls on the lighter end of the 223 spectrum at 50 grains. Less inertia means more velocity with the same amount of energy up front! The bullet will hug a level trajectory until it finally hits its target. And if that target happens to be a pesky critter of the varmint or predator variety, it will produce fast and deadly terminal expansion and maybe even a little fragmentation just for good measure.
UMC series ammo includes all of Remington’s characteristically high-quality touches: uniformly distributed charges of low-residue propellant, responsive and noncorrosive Boxer primers, and the factory fresh brass cases which promote cleaner performance and reload oh so nicely.
