Its bullets are distinctive because they have plated jackets; thinner than the traditional “true” jacket, and which cannot make safe passage through a ported barrel, ported recoil compensator, or any other ported muzzle device.

That caveat aside, the FMJ does everything you want it to. It hits 980 fps muzzle velocity out of a 3-3/4” barrel. It generates the same degree of recoil any shooter must accustom themself to before they can competently wield a 380 pistol. It can’t attract a magnet.
