This Russian-made round has a lightweight 115 grain bullet, and a fast muzzle velocity at that. The bullet has a traditional lead core and a bimetal jacket: steel on the inside, a thin copper wash exterior on the outside. Many indoor ranges prohibit magnetic bullets because they pose a greater risk of creating sparks, but many do not – plus you can always take this ammo outside (and work on your tan while you’re at it).

Barnaul loads steel cases. These are not reloadable because they don’t return to their original dimensions after ignition, and they’re going to let more propellant residue enter your firearm’s action.
