More Details About This M.B.I. 240gr Flat Point Round Nose (FPRN) .44 Mag Ammo
We love every cartridge equally … but everyone is allowed to have their favorites. Sure, the 44 Magnum is no longer the most powerful handgun in the world, but it’s not like it magically became weaker once the 454 Casull and 500 S&W Magnum entered into existence. The 44 Mag’s raw, surging power will always be a delight to unleash on range targets!
And we’ve got the perfect ammo for blowing big holes through things. This cartridge is manufactured by Military Ballistics Industries: made in the USA, using new brass cases, noncorrosive Boxer primers, and high quality propellant.
The real star of the show is the round’s 240 grain flat point total polymer jacketed bullet, of course. On the inside is a lead core with a broad, circular tip: an ideal profile for punching clean holes through cardboard, as well as knocking down metal silhouettes. The bullet’s polymer coating prevents hot propellant gasses from aerosolizing any part of its base, and also promotes cleaner performance by preventing lead or copper from depositing in its rifling. And by doing away with copper, the polymer jacket prevents brittle shrapnel from ricocheting back at the firing line. Perfect if you don’t like jagged shards of metal getting stuck in your face!
