Do you need a little more oomph than the 5.56x45? But maybe just a little less oomph than the 7.62x51? Then you want the 6.5 Grendel! It’s not the world’s most popular cartridge in spite of its versatility, so no fan should pass up a chance to welcome a whole case of Sellier & Bellot to their home!
The old Czech manufacturer has made a fine target round, right here. It’s loaded with a full metal jacket – reliable functionality in all firearms, but zero of the terminal expansion you’d need for ethical deer hunting. The FMJ has a lead core and copper-zinc alloy jacket, so it can’t attract a magnet. Its 0.400 G1 ballistic coefficient means the bullet will still fly faster than 1,750 fps at 400 yards (assuming you’re using a 23.5” barrel, that is).
Sellier & Bellot’s nonmagnetic bullets aren’t the only thing that distinguish them from the Russian manufacturers. This ammo is armed with new production brass cases and non-corrosive Boxer primers that ensure smooth feeding and extraction and give you the option to handload back at home.
