This cartridge is outfitted with a lighter 150 grain pointed soft point. Its balanced weight distribution, spearlike nose profile and 0.380 G1 ballistic coefficient mean that the bullet will rise by approximately 2.1” en route to a 200-yard target, retain at least 1,000 ft lbs of whitetail-grounding energy until 478 yards, and remain supersonic until approximately 910 yards. Once the PSP’s exposed lead core punches into its target, it forces the entire bullet to flatten out as it chisels a wide and deadly wound channel into the quarry.
