Independence. Is there any one word in the English language with more importance? It seems fitting that this .45 ACP comes from a factory by the name of Independence, and even better that it’s located in Independence, Missouri. Independence is a part of a much larger plant, Lake City Army Ammunition, that’s been in business since 1941. Remington originally founded the plant and maintained it until 1985, when the Olin Corporation took over, but since 2001, it’s been the purview of industry giant ATK Systems. They produce American-made ammunition to strict specifications, and their products speak for themselves when they go “bang.”
These .45 ACP rounds are pretty heavy at 230 grain. They’re Full Metal Jacket rounds, so they don’t expand on contact, and you need to have a good, solid backstop, just like with any training ammunition. This ammunition is great for target practice, tactical training, and plinking, and has flies down-range with a muzzle velocity of 890 feet per second. It’s designed to be non-corrosive, so it creates far less friction in the barrel of your gun, and Independence manufactures it in new-production brass cases with boxer primer, and that means you can reload.
There are 50 target rounds in this box, so you can load a few mags and hit the range. It’s the perfect size for dropping into your range bag and also a great size for storing in a stack in your safe – notice we said “stack,” which means you order more than one. It’s important to spend time with your favorite gun, and good quality target rounds will keep both you and your gun happy. This is American-made ammunition made to the same standards set for our military. Get your own piece of Independence by placing your order for these target rounds without delay.
