- Q & A
This cartridge has a 60 grain projectile. It’s a lighter bullet as far as the classic 32 is concerned, and due to exit the barrel at a fast (relatively speaking) velocity of 980 fps. You can count on transferring a little over 100 ft lbs of kinetic energy to a threat at close range. That’s not overpowering by any standard, but with proper shot placement it’ll take care of the threat in an instant.
This round’s jacketed hollow point is designed for terminal expansion. The jacket surrounding the rim of the bullet’s nose cavity is notched, which helps it to split apart during lower-velocity penetration. The JHP’s lead core and copper-alloy jacket make it perfectly nonmagnetic, so you can train with this ammo if your range is particular about penetrator cores and bimetal jackets.
PMC’s primers, propellant and brass cases are all made in-house. PMC has total control over the raw materials they use to make their components, and they are all high-quality as a result.
