More Details About This MEN 147gr FMJ .308 Win Ammo
Is it possible to have too much 7.62x51 M80 spec ammunition? Hold on a second … what does “too much” mean with regard too ammunition? It just doesn’t make sense to us. If you’re similarly floundering in your attempt to make heads or tails of the concept of “too much ammo,” then you’ll love half a thousand rounds of MEN’s fine work!
“MEN” stands for Metallwerk Elisenhütte GmbH (a German company, in case that isn’t obvious). They make tons of ammo for military usage, but much of that makes its way overseas to where American marksmen can make the best use of it.
Funny business? Not in this ammo. No sir. Each cartridge is outfitted with a 147 grain full metal jacket projectile; a lead core with a gilding metal jacket, with no steel inside. Each cartridge is also outfitted with a brand new brass case – reloadable – and the noncorrosive Boxer primer it needs to keep your rifle unrusted.
Those are assuredly new cases, by the way. Their necks are discolored, but that’s just proof they were correctly annealed at MEN’s factory.
