- Q & A
In 1927 the Yugoslavian government approached an ammunition maker by the name of Jakob Posinger with a business proposition: move his workshop into their military barracks and expand his production reach with their help. Posinger accepted, and in May of 1928 the barracks were finally set up for production to begin. Within two years his staff had grown to 150, and within seven years the government made him another offer, giving him the land necessary to build his own free-standing plant. Today Prvi Partizan is known for producing affordably priced rounds for gun owners all around the world, and all because Posinger got it started in military barracks almost a century ago.
These particular Prvi Partizan rounds are made for your .357 Magnum. At 158 grain they’re considered moderately weighted rounds, heavy enough to create a substantial hole on impact but light enough to travel at impressively high speeds. These are Jacketed Hollow Point, or JHP, rounds and begin to expand at the moment of impact. Thanks to their jackets, expansion is controlled and slowed to allow for greater penetration and the creation of a larger wound track. Each of these rounds have a muzzle velocity of 1608 feet per second and muzzle energy of 907 foot-pounds. This ammunition is meant for self-defense use.
When you buy this box of ammunition from Prvi Partizan you receive 10 boxes of 50 rounds each for a total of 500 defense rounds. If that seems like a lifetime supply of defense rounds, it really isn’t; you’ll burn through this entire box faster than you might think. Defense rounds produce greater recoil and more muzzle rise than target rounds do, meaning the only way to ensure accuracy is by practicing with your chosen defense rounds. Someday your life may depend on whether or not you practiced; why take any chances? Prvi Partizan manufactures ammunition at their longtime factory in Uzice, Serbia, according to SAAMI or CIP specifications. Order now, and prepare to defend yourself.
