This cartridge is loaded with a 122 grain full metal jacket projectile. It has a normal lead core. Its jacket, however, is not made of the usual copper-nickel alloy. It’s made of steel, with a surface that has been washed in copper for better cosmetics. The FMJ’s steel jacket is too soft to damage a rifle’s bore, but it sure as heck will attract a magnet.

This round’s case is made of steel. It can’t be reloaded, especially in light of the fact that it is loaded with a (noncorrosive) Berdan primer (which has two flash holes instead of the usual one).
